Yesterday was Sarah's last day of school (mine was Thursday) and due to the weather being reasonably nice for at least a little the two of us went outside and went for lunch. As you can see we took a cool picture.
On a somewhat related note I failed my math final but that was expected because I am terrible at mathematics. Hopefully I don't fail for the year. But the good news is I got an A on my Romeo and Juliette preformance in English class and above an A+ on my test due to Mr. Rodgers (our English substitute as our English teacher went on maternity leave in April) weighting the test because the rest of the class did terribly and the weighted average was a 73%. In Romeo and Juliette I was Mercutio and got to curse two kids in my class who I don't particularly like and die dramatically, which was fun. But the point of this post: we actually were outside in the sun for once in our lives and no more school woohoo!
Until next time,
Max (+ Sarah)
Mercutio is a fun character.
ReplyDeleteI was just about to say that!
DeleteMax: hope you and Sarah go outside more often.
73 - that would be a C by American standards.
Love your new profile pic!
He is a very fun character!
DeleteWe really need to. That and drag Alex along too. Because Tony and Greyson are busy and Jack is with Connor so it's just the three of us and maybe Abbie.
I actually don't know the American grading scale but that explains a lot.
You'll have to thank Sarah for that! But thank you :) it was from the same day as this.
WOW.
DeleteNow you have a memory of this great day. Thank you, Sarah.
I think American scales change a lot by teachers and states and requirements. And as we saw, THE CURVE. And some people have 9-point scale and some have 10-point scales.

[Hung around a few American teachers some fifteen years ago].
Yes - hope Alex comes outside as well.
What are Tony and Greyson doing?
And I hope that teacher is doing well. Mr Rodgers seems like a great addition to the Neighbourhood.
Again, enjoy your holidays!
Thank you for the link :)
DeleteWe will drag him out of his house or bribe him with manga and his dog, Henry.
I'm not exactly sure. Oh, I remember! Tony still has finals and Greyson cousins are coming up from the North Carolina.
Tomorrow is his last day, but he lives a few towns away. Yes he does...he like to joke about his name in reference to the children's show, Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood.
Thank you!
Henry! Fetch the manga right now!
DeleteOf course I had meant the school neighbourhood. And I am glad Mr Rodgers enjoys joking about himself.
Good to know about Greyson's cousins. Hope they enjoy the place. And good wishes to Tony about finals.
Henry the shibe mental health service dog who likes to hide under the covers! Mrs. Shen gave us some of his copies via the kitchen window to lure him out of the house.
DeleteHe's a bit of an odd one but made class interesting.
Tony says thank you, he finished his history final around 11:30.
And another thing:
ReplyDeleteMecutio dying?
Did you write that in your performance?
Because my memory of ROMEO AND JULIET is still very sketchy and spread out. And by the time characters started dying I was no longer paying attention.
Mercutio is slain in act three scene one by Tybalt Capulet, Juliets cousin. In a fit of rage Romeo kills Tybalt and is exiled to Mantua.
DeleteI remembered well enough what had happened to Tybalt. But not really what Tybalt did to Mercutio.
DeleteAnd also - Mercutio is part of the Verona ruling class.
Though technically Romeo also plays a part as he tried to break the two up but blocked Mercutio and Tybalt stabbed him under Romeos arm.
DeleteHe's the princes kinsmen if I remember correctly.
You remembered correctly!
DeleteYes, Romeo. He did his best!
