We finished the main questline for Assassins Creed: Origins

CONTAINS SPOILERS

AAAaAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The ending was really good but the feels utterly destroyed both Sarah and I. Aya why?!

In Summery; Aya leaves Bayek to go to Rome after he kills Flavius and puts Khemu at peace. The two have had differing opinions throughout the story and in the end decide to seperate. Aya casts away her old life and now goes by Amunet, founds the precursor to the Assassins, the hidden ones and kills Caesar after his (Very bitter) betrayal. She and Bayek remain friends and contacts as he casts away part of his Medjay identity to do Hidden ones contracts, but remains a medjay in morality, actions, and reputation. Aya throws away the extra Medjay badge that she had (I believe it was Bayeks fathers?) by tossing it into the sea on her way to Rome.

Meanwhile, in Memphis: Bayek sits atop a building thinking about all he has lost. He needs so many hugs at this point. His son is killed, Hepzafa his best friend is killed, his childhood friend is killed after another betrayal, and now his wife leaves him. At least he still has his friend Reda, an 8 year old merchant who makes him feel better and his animal friends like Senu. Bayek no longer has a place to call home as his house in Siwa seems to have been burnt out and inaccessible. But he is a wanderer, so he did not really have a place to call home anyways.

I think the part that made us really sad was Bayek thinking about how hes almost all alone now. No, Bayek, let us give you a hug! You deserve it!!

Have you played Assassins creed origins or do you plan to? What do you think of the game?

Until next time,
Max

And have a bunch of screenshots of Bayek and Senu going on another adventure

  1. Yeehah Max and Sarah.

This storyline is so tragic, especially for Aya.

And everyone in Bayek's life has been killed.

Children and animals are great to have around for Medjays.

    1. I think it's more tragic for Bayek than for Aya actually. He's the one who's seen more of the suffering and now the last person he loves leaves him.

He still has a few people left, Reda, his priest friend in Yamu, and his animal friends (Sarah calls him: Actual Disney Princess Bayek of Siwa)

Makes the death and suffering hurt less, better than drinking yourself to death.

    2. Bayek has seen a lot of suffering. So much. And the last person he loves...

It does, it does. Or well, doing anything to death. He's oriented to life, we hope.

Sarah! I can see the Disney Princess aspect.

Reda and the priest friend are two different people?

    3. Yes he has.

He tries to see the good in people rather than the bad for the most part.

Lots of animal friends, loses family/troubled past, saves the country, likely would have a good singing voice, runs around in a kilt. Therefor: Bayek = Disney Princess

Yes they are, but both live in Yamu. Reda is a merchant and Bayeks close friend, he's 8 years old (his parents were killed in a story he's yet to tell the truth of) and travels Egypt selling his wares. He gives Bayek things to do in exchange for a reward and makes conversation with him. Reda often tells Bayek stories but they tend to not match up with each other, which Bayek finds amusing. The priest on the other hand is an adult with five rather mischievous children (Bayek has found two hiding behind pillars, one under blankets, one on the roof of the temple, and one in the well)

    4. Sarah: again, you were good to pick up the Disney Princess aspects in Bethseda Media.

Max: loved the description of Reda and the priest. Lots of children around. "Hiding behind pillars; one under blankets; one on the roof of the temple and one in the well".

And Reda's role is one which is pretty classic and one that is more typical of interactive fiction like Return to Zork and Zork by Infocom.

Seeing the good in people is very important.

And the Disney keys would probably be "loses family/troubled past" and "saves the country".

And ever since I found Disney Princesses outsourced their singing...

    5. Assassins creed is actually made by Ubisoft but there are a number of characters in Bethedsa games who have Disney princess like qualities. -Sarah

Reda is one of my favorite characters besides Bayek in this game. His quests remind me of the "Fetch quests" the college of winterhold gives in Skyrim.

Yes it is, as is seeing their flaws and balancing it out. No one is perfect.

Sarah and I made a list of "10 reasons why Bayek of Siwa is an actual Disney princess"
