A graduation ceremony I never expected to happen

Due to school closure because of Coronavirus the high school was not able to have its full blown graduation ceremony on June 5th. Instead with help from the class officers, parents, and other staff, the high school administration organized a car parade for seniors as a way to celebrate them and their accomplishments around the day of the original intended graduation ceremony, with a real ceremony planned for later in the summer (hopefully) if all goes well with public health numbers.

It was nice, in a way to have everybody from the town out (with social distancing precautions) cheering on the students, and getting our diplomas while having the staff cheer. I for one wasn’t all that thrilled as I don’t generally like to draw attention to myself. But even with that, I still enjoyed myself and it was nice to see people for a change. I still never expected anything like this to ever happen, then again nobody expected Coronavirus to happen

...And yet, here we are.

I’ve attached a couple of pictures from today’s parade so you too can virtually join in on the fun!
