Where's Max?

hello readers of this blog. I, Sarah Marx come bearing rather sad news. Max is in the hospital with pneumonia after they caught a bad virus and a respitory infection a few weeks ago. On Friday night we ended up calling 911 because things got so bad and they were coughing so much. Down to Mass Eye and Ear we went where we met Doctor Hartnick who checked them out. Yesterday Max had a bronchoscope and a chest and neck X-ray that confirmed the suspicion of pneumonia. Now they are asleep after trying to eat a bagel and they felt dizzy and couldn't walk very well. Hopefully they get better soon, it makes me sad to see them like this. Especially because they were down here not that long ago.

I will keep you updated.

    1. Your welcome.

      No it is not, they even fell over a few times yesterday while tossing a ball with Alexander.

      I will be sure to! In fact, here's today's update:

      Max saw Dr. Hartnick this morning and is currently at Speech Therepy to try to help the stridor. They still are wobbly and feel dizzy. Their speech is slurred and they are coughing a lot.

    2. Sarah:

      Good that things are moving forward with them. Hartnick has been a good support.

      Alexander the ball-tosser, hmm. Great amusement.

    3. Things are moving slowly but they are at least moving. Dr. Hartnick is a great man and really knows what he's doing.

      Alexander can either be somewhat asocial or a great amusement and very giddy. In yesterday's case, he wanted to cheer them up and so he was happy.

      As for today's update: Max is very tired today and will likely sleep a lot. On thirds we are going to see their neurologist up in Peabody, yay an hour long ambulance ride what fun! (Said with sarcasm) first we will stop by the school and drop off some things with their hearing teacher to be serviced over vacation.

  2. Sarah....
    I have been busy working on a fictional story {we're gettin' there. We're not there yet, but we're gettin' there!!} so I've been a stranger around here, who has read Max's Blog posts, but I have not left any comments.... Too busy!! ;-}
    Oh my gosh!! As a one-time survivor of pneumonia myself, I understand how nasty that illness is!! :-(
    GET BETTER SOON, MIGHTY MAX!! I AM PRAYING FOR YOU!! ;)

    1. I'm glad your getting there with your story!

      It's a very nasty illness, especially to people with not very good respiratory systems!!!

      They say thank you.
