Death should not have taken thee! (Alarian)

“Krem lets go!” I drag him out of bed and down the hall until we bump into Bull, who asks what we're doing. “We have to go usurp the spotlight from some guy in a pink wig claiming to be trans. And educate some kids on what it really means to be trans and non binary. Then I have to go check on Steve's daughter, Alice who's very very sick.” Krem nods sleepily in agreement. “You woke me up from my nap.” He stretches and yawns. I pat him on the head, call Liam and drag both of them through the portal to minecraft. Now to find Mark.

Tapping Mark on the shoulder he turns around and looks down at me. “Is everything settled?” He asks but I interrupt him “Actually we were wondering where the stage is???” He directs us to where we're to go and tells us to hurry. Liam stands in the crowd while Krem and I storm the stage and kindly ask the “Non dysphoric demigirl” to get the hell off the stage. “Hello, my name is Alarian Surana. Unlike the previous, I as well as my friend here, are dysphoric trans* people. I shall let my friend speak first.” Stepping away from the microphone I whisper to Krem “Nows your time to shine my friend.” Krem takes a deep breath and walks up to the microphone. “ Hello, my name is Krem Aclassi.” He begins confidently, no sense of nervousness in his tone or body. “I am Female to Male transgender. If you are trans, you get dysphoria, it's a bit hard to explain what it feels like if you don't have it. But being a "non dysphoric Demi girl" does not make you trans. It makes you a guy in a pink wig and disrespects all the pain and dysphoria trans and nonbinary trans people go through. I myself identify solely as Male. But my friend Ali over there is a bit more complex, getting dysphoria and wanting to appear more male but overall identifies as neutral, the point being, both of us have dysphoria and are trans, unlike the previous speaker. Thank you and have a nice day.” I take the stage again “He basically took my entire speech of what I was going to say, but in summery: Pink wig guy does not equal dysphoria or accurate representation of trans and NB people. Hope you enjoyed the speech!” The two of us receive a standing ovation, something neither I, Krem, or the pink wigged person were expecting. Now to find Mark once more.

“Mission accomplished!” We tell him excitedly and he smiles. “Thank you so much. I would have done it myself, but I'm not sure I'm ready to out myself to the whole school yet.” Krem gives a thumbs up “No pressure my dude, come out when you're ready. By the way you wouldn't happen to have any old medium binders would you? All mine are wrecked and falling apart.” Mark opens a cabinat and throws a bag at him “take these. And if you need period supplies, Steve keeps some in the band room.” That's peculiar, though it's nice of him to do that. “Speaking of Steve, I need to go see Alice and Steve.” I turn to leave but Mark looks at me with sad eyes. “You don't know, do you?” He asks in a soft voice that sounds obviously pained. I turn and look at him “Don't know what?” He swallows and seems as if he's fighting back tears. “Alice died earlier today.” My eyes widen, how's my chance to make Steve's life just a bit easier, in a way only I can. “Where's her body?!” I ask hurriedly. Mark points down the street, near the hospital “at the hospital morgue. What's the rush?” I run off down the street “I'll explain later!” Krem runs to catch up with me and I see Liam tell something to Mark before running off to catch us.

The three of us stop at the entrance to the hospital and ask to see Steve and then Alice's body. Steve looks as if he's been crying. First Caitlin, now Alice. I don't know where Caitlin is buried, but I would have don't the same thing that I'm about to do to Alice. “Steve there's a way to bring Alice back.” He looks up with a scared face “There's no way I'm doing necromancy nuh uh.” I pat him only the shoulder and reassure him it's not necromancy. “I'm going to turn her into a regalia. Like Liam right there.” Liam waves “Liam Paine, nice to meet you.” He shakes his hand. “You're dead?” Liam nods “Messengers like that one can turn a dead bodies spirit into a regalia, thus giving the person a second chance, and a item form as well when called with a special word. Usually if not always regalia are people who died too early or didn't experience life completely, making Alice a perfect candidate. Along with two others beside myself Alice would have another chance, and get her life back in a way.” Steve nods as I see him circling the thought in his head. “Do it.” I nod and he shows us to Alice's body.

I pull back the cover over her face and whisper a spell to draw her spirit out of her body, a little girl sits on a stool in the corner, somewhat transparent and dressed in a worn skirt and blouse with a checked vest. Looking between the body and the girl it confirms it is indeed Alice. Slowly walking over to the girl I kneel down “hello, my name is Alarian, you remember me right?” She nods “You're that wizard who shows up sometimes with the magic sword that turns into a person!” I nod with a smile. “And I'll tell you what, soon you're going to be like that sword who turns into a person.” Her eyes widen “Really?!” I nod and begin to cast the spell. “anata  kata  no  shi  ha  na  ta  wo  satsuei  shi  nai  hitsuyou  ga  ari  masu, watashi  ha  arisu, anata  wo namae!” Due to the spell being in Japanese as its of dalish origin Liam translates for Krem and Steve. “You, who death should not have taken thee, I name you Alice!” Liam translates word by word. “Arisu!” I say and Alice turns into a small gold ring, slightly worn at the edges and in need of polishing. Steve looks on in awe. “Modusu!” And Alice turns back into her human form. “Your little girl is back. I'll write down the call words for you in case your wondering where she goes occasionally, it's just Liam or Emmie calling her up to heaven just to check in.” Steve hugs Alice tightly and she hugs him back. I cover her cold body once more, looking down at the almost peaceful expression on her face. No, death should have not taken thee.
