*Disgruntled Noises*

I don't want to go back to school in a week. I don't know my schedule, my teachers, if ill see my friends at all, and I have no special education teacher or advisory teacher. Help.

At least I have Ms Suitor. That's it at the moment.

*screaming*

Until next time,
Max

P.S I'm going on holiday to NYC for a few days, see you all when I get back!

  1. The uncertainty!

Have a great time in New York and its City with the five boroughs, Max.

Hope you might be able to find the good sensory-friendly clothes there.

And you do have Ms Suitor. And she is very privileged to have you and the other students who come in under her purview.

    1. Ok I got my schedule today! Or at least part of it!

Thank you! I write this from Madison and 41st street!

Hopefully, would be better than ripping tags off everything

She's very nice, I like her.

Still no word of advisory or LC and my chemistry teacher seems not very nice.

    2. Grr! Chemistry teacher!

What bit of your schedule are you able to divulge to us.

Just reading about the Galaxy Note8 promotion that Hayley T or Y went to - she is a mobile phone writer in the technology section.

The Learning Centre and advisory - I hope that they are not the first to be cut.

Cutting out tags - that can be an ordeal. Also taking on and putting on headgear. Come to think of it, Max, I can't remember the last time I saw you in headgear.

      Madison and 41st street.

    3. Grr indeed!

I have Ms Anderson, the former head of English for English class, Mr Horne (a special education math teacher that will be co taught in Cornerstones, a learning centre for kids with emotional and behavioral issues) for Algebra, Mr Boody for chemistry, and Ms Bartels for History. I have one of my MFA teachers for art class, Mr Reddy. And I forget the name of my Child Psych teacher. I'm going in two days before school starts to reobtain my hearing aids as they were being serviced after I finished camp. And meet with the head of SPED and figure out where classes are and that's kind of stuff.

      Sounds Interesting!

It's more they need to find replacement teachers for Ali and Mr Shattuck, as Ali became as full time LC teacher somewhere nearby and Mr Shattuck got a promotion to assistant principal in a nearby town!

Headgear as in what? Hats? The only kind of headgear I'll wear (besides things strapped to my head during medical tests) is occasionally a navy blue cap.

Now I'm at my hotel on 50th street and 3rd avenue but I was all over the place today because I saw some friends from Explo I hadn't seen in a very long time and we had a great time, more on that when I get back!

  2. Glad you saw your friends from Explo. They must have been glad to see you.

Cornerstones seems like a good class. And Mr Reddy from the Museum of Fine Art - that was a good workshop?

Hope your hearing aids were serviced well. And you are able to do the two days before school.

Congratulations to Ali and this must have been a big promotion for Mr Shattuck. I imagine the staff in LCs are in high demand. A training in your school district - a stamp of approval; a passport.

Good to meet Anderson and Horne and Bartels.

I seem to remember you studied a higher level of Child Psych or General Psychology last academic year/this year just past than a fresher would study?

    1. Oh they were VERY happy to see me. More on that when I get back, so tomorrow morning or so.

It is, I'm in a few of the programs and hop around depending on the day and needs that day. My main base is my learning centre (LC) and Gateways (an LC for kids with learning challenges, home issues, and some form of neurological or mentle illness. Sarah and Alex and Jack are in there too. But they have good home lives.) Bridge which is a hospital to school based program and coordinate with hospitals when kids are absent for extended time and as needed if they need a rest or help things like that. The Skills program is similar to the middle schools ISS program which is the LC for the most severe and also unique needed students. I have my ASL and BSL lessons there. And Cornerstones and Gateways always have mental health people on, and distractions if someone is having a panic attack or needs to decompress. Cornerstones has an art therepy program.

It was a very good workshop, though the others I liked a bit more. The kids werent very friendly in Mr Reddys workshop.

My school district is known for their SPED system, though the primary school ones were a bit difficult for me.

Winston had Mr Horne actually, that's partly how I know him!

I studied general psych last year at the senior AP level (I was also the only one who got an A in the class and I was a freshman. Mrs Levine got special permission for me to join the class) I also did an internship at Mass General in Boston in pediatric neuro psych over the summer, which was stressful, but fascinating. Not a fan of nightshift though, I like sleep.
