A pleasant morning (Sarah)

Pure sleepy gay fluff.  Perfect way to end pride month.

“Good Morning.” Carmen mumbles sleepily rolling over, and while she means well I narrowly avoid being crushed by her body. Wrapping an arm around me I'm pulled close to her. She's surprisingly warm, a nice change from the cold air. “Good morning to you too.” I reply with a small smile, too tired to get up quite yet. Squirming in an attempt to move I roll over so I face her and attempt to get even closer. The feeling is one I've never experienced prior to coming to Summerset. Warmth, Safety, Someone who actually loves me; and it's intoxicating. But I don't want to think about that right now, such a thing would ruin this rather pleasant morning. Often times our morning are hurried, either sleeping past the alarm or forgetting to set it all together, scrambling to get dressed and eat before dashing out the door. For once we have time to sleep in.

Carmen is a sprawling sleeper, not that I mind. Just avoid an arm or leg here and there and I'm fine. Sitting up to stretch and shake away the remains of sleep I look out the window on the already busy street below. The sun shines brightly and the trees outside the window cause it to make ever changing patterns on the floor as the blow gently in the breeze. Quickly checking the time and the temperature for the day I look back at Carmen. She lies on her back, one side of her body relatively straight, the other thrown off to the side leaving an opening and I realize my chance. Carefully crawling over I sit back on my knees before flopping over. Carmen groans in pain slightly at the impact against her chest but relaxes when she realizes- it's just me. “We should get up soon.” I whisper and Cam makes a noise of annoyance “Five more minutes.” We lay there silently as I count down in my head. Poking Carmen's cheek she opens her eyes and looks down at me, “It's been five minutes and 14 seconds.” I tell her with a grin, causing her to roll her eyes. Kissing her softly I reluctantly I pry myself away from her warm body and climb out of bed. She sits up and yawns, stretching her arms and back. Getting dressed quickly, though for once not rushing I come back to find her struggling to get dressed. Carmen turns around, though unable to see from the shirt covering her eyes “I'm stuck!” Forcing myself to stifle a laugh I go over and help her, first pulling her arms through and then her head. “There, all better now?” Carmen blushes and sheepishly thanks me. “Want to go get Lanriael and get breakfast?” She asks pulling on her shoes. “Sure. I’ll go get the keys.” I reply leaving the room and heading downstairs. Waiting a few moments for Carmen to come down I think to myself, this really is a pleasant morning.

Until next time,
Max
