Wake Up! (Everan)

Ev and Phillip are both adorkable, Ainsley is great, Ev is slightly hungover and needs a nap

I woke up early with a pounding headache. Staring at the clock waiting for my vision to adjust I notice it's not quite 4:45 in the morning. Rubbing my eyes sleepily I lay back down trying not to pay attention to the throbbing pain. Phillip sleeps peacefully next to me, sprawled out with dark hair tousled messily, he's awfully cute. Leaning over I place a light kiss to his forehead and pat his cheek before lifting him slightly and pulling him toward me. With Phillip comfortably arranged draped over me I run a hand along his back and try to go back to sleep. I shouldn't have had that wine last night!

Waking a few hours later I find Phillip had once more rolled back to his near original position, and seems to be almost partly falling off the bed. Grabbing one of his legs to move it he twitches, a sign he's not as fast asleep as he may seem. Rolling over I press against him “Phillip, are you awake?” I whisper in his ear. His eyes close tighter like he's trying to stop them from opening. “Oh come on don't pretend.” He turns his head away from me. I sit up onto my knees, looking him over. “I'll just have to find a way to wake you up then.” Thinking through my options I eventually decide on one. Rolling Phillip over so he's on his back I softly kiss him, his hand now gripping my arm only gives further evidence he's gradually awakening. Pulling back to take a breathe Phillip’s eyes slowly open, revealing green eyes still hazed with sleep. “Morning.” He says in a voice barely above a whisper. I give him a small smile and he looks up at me “What time is it?” I shrug, placing an arm around Phillip and helping him sit up. “Aren't we seeing Steve and Mark later?” He asks rubbing his eyes sleepily and fumbling for his glasses. “Yes. We’re seeing them for dinner.” Eventually we lay back down and talk for a while, the sunlight now streaming into Phillips room casting ever changing patterns throughout. The light in the hallway turns on, as it’s visible through the bottom of the door. The door opens then and Ainsley stands in the doorway, fully dressed. Young children often wake up early, it's no surprise. “Wake up!” She squeaks and walks over to the edge of the bed where Phillip dozes still half asleep. She pokes his cheek and pulls on the covers “Wake up! Wake up! Wake up!!” Phillip groans and covers his face with the pillow. Ainsley climbs up onto the bed and lifts the pillow out of the wake, continuing to poke him “Philly wake up it's after 10:00!” He pulls the pillow out of her grip “Ugh five more minutes.” She goes to grab at it again but I stop her “I'll wake him up in a few minutes don't worry Ainsley.” Getting out of bed I walk over to the other side and help her down, sending her off to go eat breakfast. Turning back to Phillip I take the pillow out of his, now very tight grip, flinging it over to my side out of reach. “Whyyyy” he whines as I pull the cover back. I sit him up and pull him to his feet. “Because it's time to get up. We have stuff to do today.” I explain as he clings to me. “Come on. Let's go get cleaned up.” Taking his hand I lead him toward the bathroom and set out our clothes. I'm not sure he appreciated his sister barging in yelling at such an hour but, at least it managed to wake him up. Not an easy feat.

Bonus/Possible sneak peak:

Getting a call so early in the morning from Yuuri was strange, and I figured it must have been important. Listening to the message I translate after for Phillip, as it was in Mandarin. Steve is bulimic, Mark has to take him to an ED clinic. Yuuri and Lani are helping him out. Poor Lanriael she has her hands full these days. I'll have to call Mark later and get more information.
