This month has flown by...and not from fun.
The good news: ENT approved a hearing aid and the mold fitting is scheduled for December 12th at 2:00 we'll also order the model of HA and an FM at the appointment. Nothing else super severe is going on (as far a we know) at the moment
The bad news: Last Tuesday my vision went blurry/double when trying to read a piece of music (our wind ensemble concert was last night along with a combined piece with honors chamber orchestra) and I got a severe headache, we ended up at the emergency room for fourteen hours. The doctor gave me two bags of fluids and two rounds of what she called a "migraine cocktail" that consisted of two anti migraine medications and a sedative like Benadryl. I slept for a few hours though my head still hurt and since the Friday before that had been having absence seizures and myoclonic seizures in clusters, the doctor gave me a round of anticonvulsant and anti nausea medication as well while we waited for neurology. Around 3:30 AM the neurologist came in and did her exam. She thought it was a viral induced migraine since I have been sick for around four weeks, and the seizures were being caused by being sick for so long and the antibiotics I was on for a sinus infection at the time. We saw Neurology this Tuesday again and he thought the seizure activity was a mix of seizures and tics, and put me on some anti migraine medication for the time being as my head is still hurting. they ordered an MRI for December 8th to check on my brain, head, and neck to monitor things for multiple departments that occur in that general area of the body, and an EEG scheduled for December 20th to check out the seizure activity.
There will be a lot going on this December.
Until next time,
Max
