Insurance problems

This just in,

MY INSURENCE WONT PAY FOR MY DAMN SURGERY BECAUSE THEY DEEMED IT "not medically nessecary"

so my mom called them and they argued and now she's calling Doctor Hartnicks office.

But the thing that really pisses me off is the medical necessity part, like it gives me a less than 1% chance of getting my senses back but it's at least a chance damn it give me a chance!!!

Why Tufts health insurance why?! We already met the deductible and don't have the money to pay all ourselves!!

Star Wars reference: "save me Financial Aid, your my only hope."

Ugggghhhhhh

    2. Is crowdfunding an option for you? Normally, I don't promote begging for money, but I am willing to enable you to have a chance even if it means abandoning my principles for a while.

    3. No not really. We called them again and tried to appel, but guess what? IT TAKES 30 DAYS BEFORE THE IT CAN BE DECIDED!!!!! The systems corrupt I tell you,

I JUST WANT MY SURGERY TO BE OVER WITH!!!! 😫

    4. It takes that long??? I'd seriously look into crowdfunding (GoFundMe or a similar site) if I were you.

    5. No that's not the cost part. It's just it takes that long with an appeal, we can't do it at all unless it gets approved. We just have to wait and see, Dr. Hartnicks also on the case and things might move faster if they get complaints from him, and at least 3 other dr.s (dr Robbins, dr Kinain, dr Nuss)

    6. I wonder if there's a way to expedite appeals.

    8. Thanks! On the sheet there was a part that would possibly make the appeal go faster, I think it was called Expedite. I think that's what we're going to try and do

  3. NO!!! I hope your stupid insurance company fixes it and approves it. Maybe you (well your mom) can file an appeal and Dr Hartnik's office can provide evidence as to why it is medically necessary. I hope it gets figured out. Fingers crossed.

    1. NOOOO!!!! Tufts is stupid, especially because they said "we can't speak to people in appeals." It makes no sense, as long as two people can communicate they can speak with each other, so let me speak with the people! Also tufts motto is "improving the quality of life for our patients" and are they?? NO!!! My mom and I just filed an appeal and called MEEI and their working on it too. Thanks, I do too. Looks like we might have to wait until November :(
