It's me I did and its so much fun! Bayek is the protagonist along with his wife Aya. She's the one who actually knows what she's doing. Bayek mostly just runs around Egypt thinking about what the heck he's doing with his life, missing Aya and also his Son who was murdered Khemu, talking to his bird friend Senu, and helping people because hes a medjay. The graphics are amazing and you get to meet Cleopatra and if you don't already know I used to be slightly obsessed with ancient Egypt as a child. In kindergarten I told my teacher I wanted to be an Egyptologist...she didn't know what that was so tiny 5 year old me proceeded to explain, and so this game is prying the ancient Egypt nerd out of me for lack of better wording. You can slide down a pyramid and battle hippopotamus's and crocodiles (not a big fan of those though and neither is poor Bayek) and take boats down the Nile. Speaking of Bayek one of my favorite parts of his character is that he's not like a lot of the other assassins as he's a lot...purer? I mean like he still kills people and stuff but he does that mostly for the good of the egyptian people and getting revenge for the kids that were killed by the order of the ancients. But he will play hide and seek and tag and other games with kids and they call him "Uncle Bayek" and he pets wandering cats and dogs and gives senu little pats and kisses and its adorable. Also due to historical evidence about the area of Egypt he's from (Siwa) as well as interactions with others it's very likely he is Bisexual. He needs a hug though, and no more kids dying, that makes him really sad, especially what happened with his friends daughter Shadya who was around the same age as Khemu, so he comforts him because like Shadya's father he lost his kid too.
In summary: Great game, Bayek needs hugs, Aya is my queen and I love both of them 11/10

Hope you explore more of Bayek and his view of the Greater Good. I wonder if Jack; Alex and Tony will have different views and aims.

Aya is only half Egyptian actually, her father was Greek. And she grew up in Alexandria before going to Siwa as a teenager.
They agree mostly, my brother is a bit confused on how I see the difference in personality between the other assassins of the later eras but he has not played all the games.

Aya is Greek-Egyptian or Greco-Egyptian. How old was she when she went to Siwa? 12 can be a big difference from 16 or 18.

DeleteWinston has played AC 4 AC Unity but not the rest of the series. He's played some Halo, Skyrim, Age of Empires, Toy Soldiers (An Xbox Arcade game) but mostly plays sports games.
Aya is Greek Egyptian, her mother was Egyptian and her father Greek. She was sent to Siwa between the ages of 10-12 but didn't meet Bayek until she was at least thirteen (He was too busy learning with his father in the desert outside the oasis or in the old Medjay building above the village)

It happens in game. When Bayek travels to Yamu on lake mariotis (i think that's how you spell it) his friend who's a priest needs his help in finding his kids after they ran off to play hide and seek. Then in Philadelphia (yes that's an actual city in ancient Egypt near krocolidopolis) he meets Shadya and the quest ends with her getting drowned by a member of the order of the ancients called the crocodile.
Siwa was known to frequently have LGBT marriages and couples, and was a safe haven and oasis for LGBT Egyptians.
The meeting was more just Aya scolding him because he forgot to kneel then cleopatra explaining how he has to go kill more bad people and Bayek just wants a break and to go take a nap, preferably with Aya because he missed her. Aya just pats him on the head.
The Medjay were an ancient military special forces police operation to put it simply. They fought with the military during wars (until pyltolomy came to power) and the rest of the time acted as helpers of the common folk and police.
Every assassin has a bird frien, except maybe Edward but he has a bird named ship.
In AC:O Bayek is the last Medjay his father trained him in Siwa and partly the desert, Aya later joined them after she came from Alexandria.

Crocodile seems like a fairly common nickname for members of these Ancient Orders.

Ptolemy is the Egyptian king/astronomer's name. And he was connected with Cleopatra from memory. Medjays are very complex people with complex roles.

Yes I did and it was very sad but Bayek still has Senu (his bird friend) and Hepzphas sword (his best friend who was murdered) and Aya still sometimes writes but Bayek has Reda to keep him company at least.
