Landon and the Terrible, No good, Very bad day (Phillip)

I wake up to my phone vibrating against the table, put on my glasses and check it. That's odd, it's Landon. I answer the call “Landon?” I hear sniffling and what sounds like crying on the other end. “What's wrong?” I swing my legs off the bed and sit upright listening as Landon recounts what happened, so Steve broke up with him. Truth be told I almost kind of expected it, they weren't the most compatible couple. “I'll be there in around 45 minutes, and I'll bring backup...and food.” Landon thanks me and hangs up. Throwing on clothes I silently go downstairs and write a note as not to wake my parents or my sister up but telling them of my absence. Grabbing a few snacks, my keys and a bag I pull on my boots, and exit the house. It's so quiet at this time of night, and the air is fringed as the temperature drops. Hopefully it's warmer in minecraft. I call Yuuri quickly and ask him to meet me at Landon's, and due to Sammie being busy with something else at the moment, not sure what, Valan is tagging along.

Entering into the world of Minecraft I look around at my surroundings, oh good I'm near Landon's house. It's only a ten minute walk. Coming up the steps to the doorway I knock and a blanket clad, red eyed, ruffled haired Landon answers the door. “Come in why don't you.” He says with a slightly angry tone in his voice before going into the center of the room where a pile of pillows and blankets are set up and falls facedown. I put a hand on his shoulder “I brought you something to eat. And something that might make you feel better, get some of your anger out.” He turns his head and looks at me with big sad eyes “Not hungry.” and turns away. Now that is concerning, Landon's almost always hungry! “Yuuri and Valan will also be here soon.” I get a mumble from Landon in reply. In the meantime I sit on the floor and rifle though the contents of my bag looking for those snacks I brought. Eventually the doorbell rings and I go to get it before the door opens revealing both Yuuri and Valan, with a lockpick in Valans left hand, they look up at me then get up with a sigh of relief. “D-did you just pick the lock?” I ask in a whisper should Landon hear “I was just coming to get the door.” Valan and Yuuri look at me “Not quick enough.” They say at the same time. I roll my eyes “Well Landon is in the other room and he doesn't seem to be doing too well.” The two of them take off their shoes and Yuuri closes the door behind him as I lead them into the other room. Landon sits up, I reach into my bag and toss him a stick of butter. “I know you like the stuff, so I brought some.” He tears open the package and bites off a small piece “Thanks.” The four of us sit on the floor and debrief, as Valan calls it “Landon's terrible, no good, very bad, day.” A variation of the book, Alex and the terrible no good very bad day. Yuuri gives Landon a pillow to take his anger out on...by pretending it's Steve. Landon punches and hits the pillow violently. “I could kill you!!” Landon yells at the pillow in which I quickly move to confiscate the object before his next hit. “You need to calm down!” Landon glares up at me with angry eyes “Give it back!!” He gets up and lunges at me but he never gets to me. Valan tackles him before he can “Yuuri kare wo oshi nagara watashi wo tasukeru!” He pins Landon down, holding his wrists as Landon thrashes and attempts to break free. “Hai!” Yuuri scrambles and moves to kneel above his head and helps hold Landon down. I kneel down next to Landon “Calm down anger won't make anything better.” I say in a kind but authoritative voice, or as Everan calls it, my “teacher voice” as it's what I use when talking to students to are disruptive, don't try, or don't do their work. I glance at Yuuri and he gives me a nod. “Do you know why we're holding you down?” Landon shakes his head. “Because of your current emotional state and your actions just now it shows you could be a danger not only to others but yourself. We’ll keep you like this until you become regulated enough for us to release you.” He explains and continues to explain the psychology around feelings after breakups, especially when one has, how to put it...homicidal tendencies. Landon's breathing begins to become more regular and he seems overall less angry and Yuuri gives us the order to let him go. Valan pulls him to his feet. “Sorry I tackled you. It was either you go down or Phillip and we all know Phillip is fragile.” I give him a look “Rude.” He raises an eyebrow at me “says the person who got a giant bruise on his side because he tripped and fell down three stairs.” Landon stifles a laugh but I can see the grin behind his hand. “You have never fallen down the stairs where I work it hurts like hell. Ev will tell you the same thing, one of the steps is broken everyone trips.” Valan shrugs “you're welcome for you not getting tackled.” I roll my eyes and walk in a circle “I have no idea how Samantha puts up with you all the time.” Though I guess it would be a similar remark on how do we put up with Carmen at times when she's being particularly clever and up to no good. “She doesn't, or she joins in.” Valan says with a smirk.

We have Landon eat something more than a stick of butter and make sure he's stable before leaving. “Good luck Landon call us if you need anything!” I yell back as we walk out of the house. Landon waves from the window before closing the curtains and turning off the lights. The three of us walk one by one into the portal back to our world, we end up outside Mournhold, Morrowind. The ash is heavy in the air and we cover our mouths using part of my jacket in my case, the other two have masks or scarves specifically for the ash storms. Life in Morrowind I guess. I call home saying I won't be home for a few days as Morrowind is on the opposite side of the continent from Summerset. We end up staying at Yuuri’s family's house, after down negotiation and pleading with his cousins until his Aunt Sukiha shows up and with a sharp jab in the ribs convinces his cousins to let us stay. We thank her and she leads us to the guest house, where she lives and gives Valan and I each a room on the upper floor, Yuuri sleeps in one on the first floor. I bid the two of them goodnight and crawl into bed, it's surprisingly warm. I fall asleep but I do not sleep well, I wonder what will happen with Steve and Landon now. Will Landon be alright?

  1. How did no one sustain any serious injuries?

  2. What's Carmen up to now, Max?

And I liked the way Philip entered into the world of Minecraft. Like you go into different worlds and universes every day.

Negotiating with Yuuri's cousins and aunt! Good to see the aunt has a guest house.

I hope Landon will be all right.

There are injuries healing hands can't touch, aren't there?

    1. She and Sarah continue to do stage tech, they had a show the other week. And Carmen, Lani, Sarah, and Maddie have been obsessing over the Smiths new puppy.

The others do the same thing when traveling between worlds.

Riko luckily answered the door and not her husband, Kudo. Yuuri and Kudo, though he's normally called his surname, Nagasada, famously do not get along. And Yuuri is Sakura's favorite nephew so she agreed immediately as soon as they walked in. Valan is practically her nephew at this point as well.

      Me too.

Some, such as some infectious diseases and things such as cancer.

    2. That's good to know. Healing hands might make infection worse if it goes wrong.

Good to know too what Sarah and Carmen are up to. Stage tech is fun!

Tell me more about the Smiths' new puppy.

And world-travelling. Feels like the Wood Between the Worlds in THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW.

I had known that Yuuri and Kudo hadn't got along. Sakura has good taste in nephews - especially Yuuri and Valan.

Might go and look at Ender's perspective - there's a new story from Landon's POV.

    3. No it can't make it worse, it either heals the wound or doesn't do anything at all except make you feel a little tingly.

Then Lanriael has been busy working, she works with her mom in pediatric hemotology at the children's hospital in Alinor.

She's an English bulldog named Evelyn or Evie for short who's grey and white with blue eyes and very cute.

      Yes it does I guess!

Kudo is scary, even Takayama is scared of him. Valan isn't related by blood but he knows the family well as does Sammie and neither of them have many family members so they're honorary members of the Seki family.

http://theminecrafttales.blogspot.com/2017/11/pumped-up-skates-landon.html This one? I've read it already, and Ender and I are also working on something...it's a surprise :)
