Hearing aids :(

So I have hearing loss and went to my audiologist at children's hospital Boston this morning. She did a sleeping hearing test. The result was not very good but not really bad. I have a moderately severe hearing loss mostly in my left ear. I also have a mild loss in my right ear. She made recommendations which were as follows, preferential seating,typed notes,a note taker and allowing my groups to work in the hallway where it's quieter. She also said that after my next regular hearing test in June when I go for a speech and communication appointment with a dr named Dr.Nuss that depending on the test results but most likely I will need hearing aids and or an FM set but probably both. If any one has had experience with hearing aids or fm sets before can you please tell me about it I'm a little nervous.
