Depression sucks

Depression sucks.

Your mind plays tricks with the disconnect between your body and your mind.

"Do this!" A frantic voice crys out, "talk to someone get help!" But that is the voice covered by static, blocked out as if it's the bad words.

Darkness takes over and rules with an unrelenting grip.

It's as if your day is going fine then one little slip up and your back in a cycle.

An endless, tortureing, cycle.

Sometimes you feel especially bad, about yourself, about your family, about anything at all.

That's is when it's the worst.

Depression strikes at anytime, and can destroy anyone.

Like a monster that presses your buttons and eats away at you.

Depression likes making you do things you'd rather not.

"Touch the stove!" The giddy monster whispers in your ears, playing static over the logical voice pushed to the back of your mind.

And so, you touch it. And it hurts like hell.

What I'm trying to say is...

Depression sucks.

(This is my personal experience with depression, I've had a really bad day... Yes I did in fact touch a hot stove out of stupid depression/self harm induced impulse. )

  1. Depression sucks. It's like fighting a dragon that lives in your head but without any of the glory.

    1. Exactly. In my case it's Alduin, the giant black scary dragon from Skyrim with creepy red eyes. Or it's a horde of Cliffracers, or Dagoth Ur, or those creepy monster things from Noragami. Or the Darkspawn Horde. Wait that's my nightmares nevermind.

But in dragon fighting case, it's Alduin the World Eater.

In Daedra case though it's Mehrunes Dagon, the literal embodiment of evil. His oblivion plane is scary and I hate it with a passion it's firey and unwelcoming and looks like the pits of hell which is exactly what it is.
