  1. Hey. I'm finally able to comment again. How are you feeling about getting hearing aids? (oh yeah, that's today!) What is your most and least favorite parts of having disabilities?

    1. I was somewhat excited but they need even more testing. But I'm still getting an FM set we have to set that up at school not sure which type hopefully personal. Favorite part: Special education/fun therapy toys least favorite: annoyance/pain and bullies.

    2. Seriously??? ugh. :( I feel your pain. I have to have surgery for my GERD and hiatal hernia but I have to wait and see my gastroenterologist again after having a motility test which I really hope you never have to have because it was the worst experience of my life! My favorite part is the community I've found online because of my disability and the skill of self advocacy I've learned. My least favorite part is the pain and the feeling of not being "normal".

    3. I don't like the pain either. What was so bad about the motility test? Also how do you use a personal FM system (if I get one which I hope I do,the sound field ones don't really work very well when it gets loud in class.)

    4. The best part is being able to prove stupid people with credentials wrong. The worst part is being a living oxymoron.

    5. Yes I do. I have never even heard of a sound field one. I almost gagged during the test when the thick tube was put down my nose. And it was super duper painful.

    6. A sound field FM is an fm that is typically in the back of the classroom that has no personal parts to it. The teacher just wears a microphone. We had some last year but it didn't really work very well. If I do get hearing aids then I will automatically get a personal fm system

    7. Also that test sounds horrible.

    8. That doesn't sound very practical. Because it doesn't direct sound to the student who needs it's ears. I hope you end up getting everything you need.

  2. Have you heard the song Everything's Alright by Laura Shigihara? I arranged it for flute choir.
