My excursion in concord :)

Yesterday me and my mom went to concord and went shopping for a while. I usually don't like shopping but this was actually fun! Here's some pictures I took during that time, enjoy!

  1. At the name Concord, I immediately thought of grape juice.

    2. Yeah, I think of that too! But mostly the town.

  2. Oh Meredith I love those shoes!

And your stripy world in general.

Power to the readers indeed with that big red star.

    As for the hedgehog.

Of course when I think of Concord I think of Little Women and the experimental school Bronson Alcott started in the country. Basically the Alcotts and their transcendalist mates/associates.

The pants feel loose and relaxed?

      Yeah go readers!!

      I like hedgehogs.

Yeah I started to read little women a while ago, I should reread it again!

The short's? Yes they are very comfortable.

    2. I mean the pants in the second picture down.

Glad you're comfortable in the shorts, Meredith!

Hope you do re-read Little Women. I wonder if your edition has Good Wives in it too?

    3. Ohhhh those yeah there nice!

I'm kind of comfortable in shorts, they just have be either be boys shorts, Longer girls shorts or agendered shorts.

I do not like shopping, either.... Particularly clothes shopping!! But I have been doing more and more of that lately, because I've lost so much weight by hip swaying/dancing/cutting loose to Bruce Springsteen!! So none of my clothes fit anymore!! Thank-you, Bruce!! ;-D
I love your new shoes!! Are they comfortable? "Power to the readers"!! I love that pin!! I like your hat!! It would not fit me.... Because I was born with craniosynostosis, I have a "big head"!! But, thanks to Dr. J., I am alive!! The hedgehog!! He {or she?} is adorable!! Do you like hedgehogs? Is that a picture of Sherlock?! Cool!! ;)

    1. Yay for swinging your hips!

Mine are fairly down the middle, sometimes protruding.

My head is neither too big nor too small. However, my facial bones are square.

    2. @Raelyn

Yes they are confer table in wearing them right now as well as yesterday when Greyson,Tony,Jack,Mr.McCarthy and our new(ish) friend Anna hung out yesterday!

    3. Glad Anna now feels part of the Fellowship.

And Greyson, Tony and Jack are the originals - aren't you?

Awesome to have people around who you feel comfortable wearing shorts [or anything which might expose].

You had some good comedic smarts and words today.

    4. Anna (Not flutistpride Anna but our red haired musician) is sort of our other friend, she's not exactly part of the fellowship but another friend of sorts.

      The original fellowship:
      Me,Jack,Tony,Greyson,Ms Thornquist, Mr.Stanmyer,Mr.McCarthy

The fellowship's extended members (not the original group):
Lydia, Isla, Anna(flutistpride), Maseie Williams, Rose Lesli, Sophie Turner, Ian McKellen, Anna T (the other Anna with red hair)

Yeah it is. I usually don't wear them but occasionally.

      :)

  4. Yeah cloths shopping isn't my favorite, book shopping or video game shopping now that's a different story, or newbury comics...love that store :)

Haha, I'm the opposite! I was born with microcephaly (a small head) so it's actually a little big!!

Aww thanks he's cute he's very very soft.

Yes it's Sherlock!!!! I love Sherlock, I'm currently reading the adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The show is good too

    1. Looked at the big version of Sherlock.

I noticed - are these all Conan Doyle's words?

And the pipe is made out of words also.

      Hedgehog softness!

There are several shows containing Conan Doyle characters. A lot of people in my circles were fans of the BBC/PBS version.

I enjoyed A GAME OF SHADOWS which was directed by Richie. There was a low budget version released in 2010.

Nippon Television has a puppet Holmes which might be good.

Yes they are all the words in the book!!

Yes it's very soft, the lady at the store touched it and was like "wow this is very soft I'll need to buy one for my self!"

Oh yeah that's a good movie, I saw it a few years ago.

Speaking of shows that start with Game...Season six of Game of Thrones aired last night!!!! I didn't watch it but I may do that today if my parents have to go see my brother at Franciscan hospital in Brighton.

      Raelyn.

Yes I was! Max (Ellen's son) also has it!

Yes I have, a game of shadows is a great movie.

    5. Hooray for customer service! She likes to hear and validate you.

      Ah - Sherlock Holmes.

Have a few good THRONES links for you to read.

Best wishes to your brother at Franciscan. Timeshifting is a great beast.

I also have anterograde and retrograde memory loss for a few years in my life. There are often weeks and months without strong autobiographical, semantic or procedural memory [all three affected to various degrees].

Use a lot of cognitive prostheses and emotional and sensory techniques. Routine and spontaneity help too, as do the reduction of stressful circumstances.

In more recent years [the last ten] my rote memory would have declined significantly. Memorisation has never been a reliable technique for me.

Telling and communicating and selecting detail can help, in and out of field.

Word finding is not too easy especially for novel words or situations.

Sequential memory and imagination is still fairly difficult. Think of your printer and its connections. Serial/peripherial. Or vision.

Really? I never would have guessed!! I hope it's better then it was!

    7. @Meredith:

I didn't give you much to go on. A small snapshot. Isn't it great how we can get so much information from so little initial priming/input? [Noam Chomsky and his Universal Grammar Device].

If we/I/you're talking about 1995-98 - much better. 2002 - some better; some worse; much the same [~20 years after]. 2006 - some significant compromise. My most reliable memory is from ~2 years ago.

[These time spans are for different areas of memory and how/why they were affected].

At the moment I am remembering as well as I do because of active rehearsal and retrieval as well as quality control of input and output.

LUNCH WITH MYF - 26 April 2016 is very much about GAME OF THRONES with seasons 5 and 6 in the forefront

The most sensible way to get the links would be from my StumbleUpon account. I usually put GAME OF THRONES within the FANTASY BOOKS section whether it refers to the TV show or the series.

Now I know a little about your brother. Seem to have your family and Jack's confused, though it's not often or recently I read entries about your brother.

Autoimmune - I know that struggle all too well. Late April is the time of the sneezes and the coughs - and when I was a student - assessments! [That is one thing that got better - slowly - when it came to the autoimmune side - though cold weather tends to affect a lot - or extremely hot weather. So heating and cooling].

    8. Meredith.S....
About my premature short-term memory loss. Alright. I've had it my entire Life, even when I was a little girl growing up. We believe that it is resulted from me being born with a severe case of craniosynostosis and needing not one, but two reconstructive operations as an infant. True, everyone forgets some stuff.... Which I frequently remind myself of!! But my premature short-term memory loss can make me feel middle-aged, or old. My premature short-term memory loss can be frustrating. My premature short-term memory loss can make me feel stupid. I easily forget a lot of stuff {whether it be something that is important to me or something that I do not care about} just like Dory from Finding Nemo, only not quite as severe. Not yet, anyway!! Give me a decade or two!! Some people might call my premature short-term memory loss laziness, but it is much more complicated than that. You have no idea how many older people {who I love dearly} have point blank told me that I'm "too young" for premature short-term memory loss. No.... I am not.... Does that answer your question, Friend? ;-D
"Stay hard, stay hungry, stay alive", Raelyn
      PS. Sorry, long comment/reply!! This is why I cannot do Twitter!! Ha!! ;-}

    9. Are you going to see FINDING DORY, Raelyn? It is on later this year.

Dory was a wonderful character. Very nurturing and thoughtful. The plot is really focusing on how she adapts and accepts her impairment.

Ah - your memory loss has been life-long.

Surgeries - I could not comment upon that. The closest I have come is singing a consent form for lip and chin removal. And perhaps dentistry work in 1990 and 2002. [advocates are good for orientation].

Ah, I'm already middle-aged or just beginning. I started to feel middle-aged when I was 26-27.

So it doesn't discriminate! Mine can appear to be far more selective to the naked eye.

You did say: "Some people might call my premature short-term memory loss laziness, but it is much more complicated than that."

I deal with this preconception/misconception in my literary works and have done since I was 16.

We will see what happens in a decade or two. And we will be proactive and adaptive, because that's what we do and have been doing all our lives long or short.

"ou have no idea how many older people {who I love dearly} have point blank told me that I'm "too young" for premature short-term memory loss. No.... I am not...."

Argh! To the elderly / seniors. You feel too young for memory loss until/unless it happens to you. I can understand that to a point. Same for other indicators of age-related cognitive impairment.

[The 4096-character limit is four kilobytes. I have fallen afoul of it several times; notably on the WHY WAS PASSING FOR NORMAL SO IMPORTANT blog. Fortunately I was able to make some adept edits. I could not have done this as much or as well in 1999 when blogging was invented, or even 2004 when it became mainstream].

It's more that I choose not to do Twitter, even though if I were more of a mobile person, as I was not in 2006-07, I would have loved to. It had too many affordances which weren't accessible to me. By 2009-10 it was part of a wide-ranging social media diet. In the last year there have been good things like Moments. The platform has been misbehaving a lot technically and socially in the last eight months [August 2015-present].

Yes, I do want to see Finding Dory!! I cannot wait!! Dory, is, indeed, a wonderful, nurturing character!! And funny.... And lovable.... Plus, of course, forgetful at times.... We are Kindred Spirits, me and Dory!! Plus you just gotta love Ellen DeGeneres, right?! ;)
Yes, my premature short-term memory loss has been Lifelong. :-(
"We will see what happens in a decade or two. And we will be proactive and adaptive, because that's what we do and have been doing all our lives long or short." I absolutely agree!! You know what? I think that Bruce Springsteen is an excellent example to me of someone who definitely does not let age defy him in any way shape or form!! You see why I love "older" celebrity guys?! You see one of the billion catrilluion reasons why I love Bruce?! I learn from "older" celebrity guys, and I certainly learn a lot from Bruce.... I want to be just like him when I'm sixty-six years young!! Even if my short-term memory loss has worsened.... ;-D

You ain't heard nothin', Friend!! Craniosynostosis was not my only birth defect.... It just so happened to be the most severe of them all!! And two reconstructive operations performed by Dr. J. was not my only surgical procedure that I underwent as a baby. Because.... I was also born with congenital diaphragmatic hernia. I have a beautiful, impressive, long surgically-created scar stretched across my abdomen as resulted from Dr. C. operating on me. I was also born with Wolff Parkinson white syndrome. Dr. L. surgically repaired that birth defect when I was eighteen years old. Yeah, I am a freak!! I'm an alien from another planet like Superman!! I am a mutant from the X-Men!! Ha!!
