I had an idea and wanted to try a new style for this
His body starts levitating, it's suspended in air. His eyes not there usual hazed red, but bluish white...and glowing. His head bent, arms out in front of him. Then he moves his arms and the air starts to move. Vivec pulls me out of the way "What's he doing?" I ask. "Air magic. I haven't seen it in thousands of years, millions even. He's more powerful then I ever thought he was. And certainly not normal." I look at Valan now he has fire in his hands, the air and fire are mixing, it's creating something. Valan then points the ball or thing of fire and air at Volanaro, the nightblade. Then there's an explosion. When the wind and smoke clear away, in the middle of it all, stands Valan Velothi, The Nevervarine, an air bender and a destruction Mage, and something certainly not human...
A rewatched Avatar and Valan reminds me of the last air bender (Aang I think that's how you spell it?) and Sam reminds me of the water bender girl (Katara) I'm blanking on names
I hope Valan doesn't get drunk on power.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, he won't. He's not that kind of person. What happened was the three of them were faced with a very powerful enemy and well this happened. Mostly a one time thing but he can do small things with the air from time to time.
DeleteI saw no clear mention of the enemy, so I was confused
DeleteI need to go back and edit. But that's why there was an explosion.
DeleteAlso about the power thing, Valan doesn't like to be in the spotlight. He prefers to stay in the shadows rather then be the center of attention. His and Sammies motto is "We work in the dark to serve the light." From assassins creed. They are the opposite of the tribunal as the tribune members are generally very public figures and like the attention, while Sam and Valan would rather be unrecognized or have recognition but in subtle ways.
M:
DeleteSubtle recognition works well because it's person centred and value centred.
I can see that Valan and Sammie have strong Assassins' Creed values.
If the Tribunal is so public why aren't there more stories? Where could I look?
They do! Also the fact that Valan works with the Morag Tong (Morrowinds assassin guild) and has a set of hidden blades so that's part of it too.
DeleteI haven't written any other stories except maybe 1 featuring the tribunal. I would say try the elder scrolls wiki, and search The Tribunal, or search Vivec. The other two I can't spell their names (Almalexia? And Sotha Sil?)
Katara is the water bender.
ReplyDeleteAang [is he untypeable?] is the last water bender.
Great third person present. It's like journalism or proselist.
Like CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE, so not such a new style to me.
[And it's very typical of lots of roleplaying and narrative].
Love that "I look at Valan" sentence.
[The other AVATAR is the one with Jake Scully in it].
Yes that was it!!
DeleteThank you!
Yeah it is typical in Role playing and narratives
Thanks!
Yes I've seen that too!!
Have we met Vivec as a character before?
ReplyDeleteI believe so, he's one of the false tribunal that govern Morrowind. Proclaiming themselves gods after the death of Indroil Nevervar. The person who Valan is a reincarnation of. They are friends but not always.
DeleteOh my, false tribunals!
DeleteSo they proclaim themselves gods.
Any stories about Nevervar or Valan in this incarnation?
Under what circumstance/alliance have they been friendly?
Yes Oh My indeed!
DeleteYes, Azura (The deadric "prince" who is one of the true tribunal made up of her, Mephela and Nocturnal) wasn't very happy when the false tribunal (originally Neverar's advisors and Almelexia was his wife) murdered him. So she swore revenge and well, revenge turned out to be a red haired, genetically complex, legally blind, not exactly strong fellow by the name of Valan Velothi.
If you look at my older posts (an example I think would be "Valan did the funniest thing right now") and other things that involve the word "Valan" or look like stories.
They are allies usually when they have a common enemy or Valan is good friends with Sotha Sil (Soth Sile is how it's pronounced) because even though Sotha Sil is part of the tribunal he prefers to do his own magic reaserch and stuff like that. Other times Vivec will just ask him if he wants to go get dinner or something if they haven't seen each other in a while. Almelexia and Valan just hate each other's guts though, literally you can not put them alone in the same room, they would try and kill each other. When Vivec and Valan don't get along its usually Vivec annoying Valan by making Snarky, Obnoxious comments or the two of them bickering.
