The evolution of M as a reader, depicted through art :)

For English class we had to depict our evolutions as readers through, An essay, a poem or a piece of art. I chose to do the art piece [obviously]. So what I did was I drew a book with a page behind signifying my past reading experiences (specifically 6th grade) and how I used to not really like reading when I needed to. Now I like to read more after having discovered the fantasy genre more which has a page flipping and has things from some of my favorite books such as The Hobbit, Lotr, Game of Thrones, Sherlock Holmes and The Silmarillion. The page next to the one featuring the fantasy/fictional characters is me how I currently am as a reader. It's me surrounded with a pile of books saying "Yay Reading!", me laying down with a book and finally me riding a dragon because I like fantasy (and dragons) and it was also a game of thrones reference to Drogon and Daenyres...Thanks Jack for that idea, you king of references :)

Also it was Mr. Stanmyers birthday today and Ms. Thornquist made him a cake and all of the fellowship and The Royle Hedgehog society saved our money along with Sarah, his fiancรฉ and our sixth grade homeroom teacher whose taken a brake from teaching to buy him a hedgehog! He loved it and it was super fun... Jack and Mr. McCarthy even got Mr. Chute a susu cupcake and brought Connor (Jonesy) a cookie because he loves cookies! It was really really fun though :)

  1. M:

I loved the way you grew and developed through the book and through reading; as if you were another character.

These four-panel frames are good for comics, aren't they?

Did you try to read the ODYSSEY and TUCK EVERLASTING when you were in the 6th grade?

    And that dragon is awesome!

I sort of love the spine in the middle of the book.

Wonder if any of your fantasy-loving classmates felt inspired and wanted to share the journey?

Jack: you are the ๐Ÿ‚พ๐ŸƒŽ๐Ÿƒž๐Ÿ‚ฎ♔♚ of references!

    1. Thank you! I had an idea and ran with it, adding more as I went along.

      They are good for comics!

Oh we had to, they were required books, I liked the Odyssesy the best.

Thank you! I did it free hand using my older dragon drawing as a reference for the head and feet/wing shape.

      Thanks!

Tony did something similar, as did Eric and Abbie. I don't know what Greyson did though, I'll ask him as I'm sitting right next to him! We're at Jacks watching a Sherlock Holmes movie. Forget the title, if someone said it id remember.

*Jack is replying from this line forward :)*

Thank you! I am the King of Game of Thrones references in particular, but if you listen to The Fellowships conversations there about 3/4 subtle references and 1/4 nonreferencss
