Greetings friends from Jack and M's blog! I've had my buddy Jack and his brother, his aid and his cute cute cute dog visiting me for the summer but I've been talking with them about characters and so M let me write fanfiction for their OTP. I hope you like it!
A/N the thalmor are a group of people who basically seek to rule the world, both Farkas and Anna are fluent in Sign Language, Ace OTP to rule them all
Farkas looks down at his map, he's close to Solitude the capital of Skyrim. And Anna is at Northwatch keep, a thalmor base, a few hours south of where he is. He puts the map in his bag and climbs onto his horse, brain wracked with worry "I hope she's okay." He thinks to himself.
"Where is he?!" Anna thinks, sitting in a dirty prison cell. Clothing torn, after having gotten into an argument with one of her captors earlier that day and yelling and screaming herself horse, there wasn't much she could do. "At least I know Sign Language."
North watch keep, the base of the thalmor. Farkas stops a few hundred feet away and ties his horses reins to a tree so he doesn't walk away. Then draws the greatsword from its scabbard and rushes in, striking down any thalmor in his path. He makes his way through the keep, until he gets to the prisoner cells, where he hears a banging noise coming from the one on the far left. He opens it to find no one other than Anna Lenox, the Dragonborn, the thane of all holds, his wife. Her eyes look up and at first are filled with fear, until he moves towards her and crouched down next to her, looking at her torn cloths and sees her wrist bindings. When he kneels down next to her she realizes it isn't someone come to hurt her, but to save her. Farkas carefully undoes the binding then scoops her up in his arms as she leans against him, and carries her out, puts her on the horse and rides as far away from that dreaded building as the two of them can get.
Farkas stops in solitude where they have house, proudspire manor. He carries a sleeping (or more likely unconscious) Anna up the stairs and opens the door to their bedroom. He places her down on the bed and goes to get a cloth, some water, and his bag of medical supplies. When he comes back into the room about ten minutes later Anna has just opened her eyes slightly and makes a small whimper sounding noise. Farkas walks over and sits next to her on the bed, stroking her blond hair softly brushing it out of her eyes, then leans down and kisses her cheek softly "Hi Anna." He says, and she looks up at him. Farkas smiles. "Can I clean you up?" A nod, he sits her up and pulls off her dress, but keeps her undershirt and capri's. He cleans her cuts and bruises, bandaging the ones that need it and gives her some of her medications that will help her sleep, and avoids seizures and the like. Then pulls her against him as he lies back and tucks her under the covers.
Anna sleeps before long, slight twitches as she falls asleep against his chest, her breathing becoming slow and even. Good, it's usually not like that, and that's actually a good sign in this case.
He holds her gently against him and moniters, heart rate, breathing rate, how intense the shaking is as to tell if it's a seizure or just a little tic. But after a while she wakes. He looks down when he feels movement, Anna staging herself higher and collapses again, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Back with me?" He asks. A shrug. "Can you speak?" A shake of the head. "Oh, why not?" Farkas asks slightly curious and slightly worried. Anna sits up and faces him and explains via Signing that she got into a fairly heated argument with one of her captors and basically lost her voice. Farkas blinks, I guess he was expecting something more interesting then that. He Signs back "Well, that sucks. Can you speak at all? Try saying 'hi' if you can." Anna opens her mouth and tries to speak- nothing. Well, that's not good. Luckily the two of them are fairly fluent in sign language so they manage to have a conversation, Farkas sitting against the headboard and Anna kneeling opposite him. They explain what happened to each of them, how they got separated when they did, what happened to Anna and what took Farkas so long to find her! Eventually the two went downstairs and ate dinner, then Anna wanted to read something so Farkas read aloud a chapter of her (actually both of their) favorite book, The Hobbit. "In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit" Farkas began as Anna sat next to him. Then continued reading with a very British tons of voice, as for where to pause and out enounceation with wording "Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor a dry bare hole with nothing to eat or to sit on. For this was a hobbit hole, and that means good food, a warm hearth, and all the comforts of home..." He continued reading until the first chapter was finished of which had taken a little more then an hour if you count searching for the book and getting a certain Breton to get ready for bed, and when he went to close the book Anna burst out "No!" He looked at her, and she looked at herself "hey, I can speak again!" He smiled "I can see that. Glad your fully back Ann's. You want one more chapter?" She smiled and nodded vigorously. He reopened to book "Okay- but just one." And continued to read.
The End!
This has been Maisie writes.
Byeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!
Maisie
I loved it! I'm a sucker for hurt/comfort. It honestly sounds like something my OTP would do for the most part.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Same, I based it off of one of M and Jack's earlier stories, but elaborated on the whole thalmor thing. Cool!
DeleteMaisie - you seem to be a good writer.
ReplyDeleteDid you tell this story orally to Jack or did you write it down?
In that case, you handled the characters well and got into their heads/mindsets.

That was awesome.
Thank you! Jack and M have been giving me tips.
DeleteI wrote it down, between looking at the tumblr post fic that it was based off and my email and then sent it to M who published it.
Yeah, M sent me a bunch of stuff regarding character traits and Jack told me the base line of their character.
Thank you! That's my favorite part, I couldn't think of how to end it so I frantically emailed M at midnight their time last night and asked for advice! They said that Anna and Farkas both really like books and Anna will sometimes ask to be read a bedtime story and M (and the rest of the Fellowships) favorite book is The Hobbit and they headcanon their characters as having some things from the modern world (like computers and things like that, but it's not very very commonplace) and that they like The Hobbit so I thought of doing something like that. I had sort of an image at the end that their both just sitting in the middle of the bed and Farkas is sitting with his legs crossed with the book inbetween and Anna is on his left kneeling and looking over his shoulder (illustrated copy) and then eventually near the end of chapter two falls asleep against him and he puts the book away and just cuddles her. It's adorable, their not even my characters their M (and Bethesda Softworks) characters but I ship them so much and aghhhhh it's too cute!
And Anna a Thane of All Holds. Wow!
ReplyDeleteA Hold is an area of Skyrim, like a county. Each is governed by a Jarl who acts like a lord and all nine jarls answer to the high king (of which there is currently not one) below the jarl there is two- three thanes, who are people who have done services for the hold and are rewarded with the title, a weapon or armor, and the opportunity to buy a house or land in the hold. Anna just happens to be the thane of all the holds and therefor has a house in every single one. Dungeon exploring gives you money which is how she bought them or the land and built her own (lake view manor for example)
