Today was my last day of school!! It's finally summer so I can sleep in!!!!(except on Monday I still have to be up at 7 am for a doctors appointment) but still yes summer finally! I'll post more frequently and probably longer posts soon. Also I ran into my old homeroom teacher (ms.hirsh) today,she didn't teach this year but she is going to come back either next year or the year after. I'm officially an 8th grader!! :)

Yay! I have a test on Tuesday and then I will officially be a senior! My 1st official day of vacation is a doctors appointment for me too. I have had GERD since January and a endoscopy back in April showed that I have a hiatal hernia. The medicine is not helping so on Wednesday I am having a Ph test where they put a tube with a sensor attached up my nose and down my throat for 24 hours so they can track exactly what is going on. Are you getting hearing aids on Monday?
ReplyDeleteI am getting hearing aids on Monday and will you be unconscious when they put the tube in? If your not be prepared for some pain. I've had something sort of like that called a laryngoscope which is when they stick a scope up your nose and down to look at your larynx...it hurts and I've had it 17 times in the past year! Also good luck on your exam!
DeleteNo, they numb your nose, I have had that laryngoscope thing too when I went to Mass Eye and Ear for my ear pain. Do you know what color you are getting?
ReplyDeleteYou go to mass eye and ear?! I do to!! I see dr. Christpher Hartneck at pediatric ent and I also saw I think there name was dr.cohen once. It's funny though Ashley and Jennifer the child life specialests literally know me now. In the pediatric unit of your ever up there theirs a card from me to the nurses on the wall above the nurses station.I don't know yet what color I'm getting maybe purple,green or blue. What color is your hearing aid?
DeleteI've only been there once last summer, I saw Dr.Lee. He is one of 2 doctors who can do this surgery on my ear and cut a nerve to stop the pain. But first I have to get my braces off so they can get a clear MRI. Hopefully soon. Mine is light blue.
DeleteThat's good that you have only been their once and I'm either getting light blue,light green or violet colored hearing aids. Also what's kind of ironic is one of my doctors at meei (mass eye and ear infirmary) who typically works with singers but also other people and his name is dr.song
DeleteThat's funny. I am glad they have color choices now. My first one was beige. Do you know what model they are? Mine is a Octicon Safari.
DeleteI have no idea what model they are. This appointment is really somewhat the "defining appointment" because they already know I have hearing loss but they want to do one more audiogram before they proceed so I have a 95-99% chance of getting hearing aids because we looked at colors and models and things and talked all about hearing aids and fm sets last time so now we just need to do one more audiogram before we actually get them. I could have got them last time but we decided to wait.
DeleteOh audiograms. I have a love-hate relationship with them. They always make me tired because you have to focus so much. Hope it all goes well. Be sure to blog about it. It may be emotional when you get them because it is like, "Oh my gosh, I really do have hearing loss. And I will have them forever."
DeleteI have a love-hate relationship with then as well. I will be sure to blog about it and thanks for the insight. Also I have an appointment with two more doctors right after the audiology appointment only the new doctors are from ent/speech and language. Thank you I hope it goes well to.
