Ali and the list part 2

Here's the continuation of "Ali and the List..." Last time we ended with Kenelm Stratford, the man who saved Alarian life ending up on their doorstep. Let's find out what happens

The doorbell rings as I sit in the library reading a book on Fereldan history, Alistair's sleeping on a couch across the room and is somewhat snoring. I throw a pillow at him and he groans and wakes up glaring at me. I don't remember expecting visitors though. Morrigan yells to me "Alarian! Doorbell!!" I run down the hall and stop at the door opening it lightly, it revels a man in a tan tweed suit and brown shined shoes. I raise an eyebrow perplexed on why the heck this guys at my door and voice said perplexedness, if that's a word "who are you?" I ask the man. He looks down at me and asks me "Are you miss Alarian Cousland??" How'd he know my name and my address, creepy!! I manage to stutter "y-yes I am. Who-who are you and how do you know me? If I may ask?" The man takes off his hat "I am Ser Kenelm Stratford, miss Cousland. I was a friend of your Lady mother." He says with a bow and steps inside. My companions peek out of various rooms, Alistair and Sten from the library. Morrigan, Shale and Wynne from the kitchen. And Zevran, Leliana and the Dog from upstairs. I listen to what Mr. Stratford had to say but interject "My mother isn't a lady though, she and my dad are wealthy yes but not royalty." Mr Stratford replies "Ah but you were adopted right? Your foster parents may not be royalty but your real parents were the head of one of the noblest families in all of Tevinter. Sadly most members of your house were killed during the Quanari Massacre of Jewish Elves of Thedas 17 or so years ago. You I believe, are the last surviving member of house Surana, my lady." Okay, woah. Apparently I'm some Tevine princess/queen?! Cool, I guess. Still I'm shocked "how do you know this?!" I yell frustrated, Leliana runs down the stairs towards me and stands behind me, the other come out of their rooms and listen. "I helped your mother, Mesha, escape with you when you were still a baby, when we landed in Fereldan we were met with an ambush and your mother was fatally wounded, you were hidden in a basket, a quanari solider looked through the basket with his sword. That is why you have that scar on your face. I managed to get you and myself out and brought you to a family friend of mine, the cousland's. I left a note in your basket saying "her name is Alarian. Keep her safe." Your mothers last wish, Ali." It all makes sense now, my mom and dad never telling me, sending me away to kinchloch, the scar, my demon/godlike powers, how I can speak with Fenris even though there were never many elves and I've never been to Tevinter. Everything, it fits together like a puzzle. Kenelm then says "you are one of the last surviving Stratford elves in Fereldan Alarian. I had decided to not contact you until now because I didn't think you were ready to know. Now you do, what do you think of it?" I look at my friends, some smile, others shrug, some do a combination, Shale looks completely unfazed as you'd expect from a stone Gollum. Then I turn back to Mr Stratford "I don't really know what to think of it honestly. I mean it makes sense and I'm happy to know where my scar came from but it's... Its, I don't really know. But thank you for finally telling me Mr. Stratford, that's very kind of you. And I'm sorry if I sound rude but we have to go save the world so you'll have to go soon, it was nice meeting you though!" I say and offer my hand, Mr Stratford laughs and shakes it, puts on his hat and walks out the door. I close it behind me, turn to my friends with a smirk and say enthusiastically "Ok, that was interesting at least...Who wants food!!!" Alistair puts his hand up"I do!" He yells. I look at him "race ya to the dining room!!!" I say running past him, Zevran laughs, Leliana hits him on the arm and Morrigan rolls her eyes...per usual. Don't tell her I said that :) we then eat dinner and talk about that strange hour long or felt like hour long conversation. Zevran points out that it was really only around half an hour but still it was a long but interesting talk. Apparently I'm a queen, wait till I tell Marien hehehe...or Fenris, he might not be too happy or he could be super happy, who knows. After dinner I play a game of Chess versus Sten, I win and then eventually wander into Zevran's room and flop down into the bed across from him, which is reserved for me because I get nightmares. And fall asleep... Until I wake up screaming three hours later. Oh fun times :)
