Guess what??!?!

M's hospital blogging, hey people's.

I'm currently at MEEI for another audi appointment yippie!! I've been here since 10:00 am :( and I will most likely be here until around 7:00 pm because not only do I have audiology but I have to have a bunch of other tests too! The audiologist was nice this time and didn't try to shove me into the box because I'm a very out of the box person medically. And it gets better, I need an MRI as well to 1. See if that spot in my brain is a very small tumor or just a side affect of my premeturity 2. To see what the hacks going on with my ears (an MRI/ABR) and 3. To see if we can find out any clues as to what messed up my vocal cords and made me lose my sense of taste and smell. It's going to be a long couple of weeks. *faces palms and sighs*

Until next time,
M

I'm super bored and really tired helpppppppp

  2. M....
Since you are bored, Friend, I will amuse you with a story.... Guess what I did today? I helped our next door neighbors' loose black and white-furred Border Collie mix, Zeke, find his way back home!! He had not wandered too far yet.... I could still see Zeke out our window. The first thing I said was.... "Oh, I really don't wanna go chase him down the street again!!" {I already experienced that once. It was not fun!!} The second thing I said was.... "I'll go knock on {the next door neighbor's} door. If I let {J} know he's out.... It won't hurt to knock on the door!!" So I stepped outside. No leash. No enticing dog treats. No nothing. Just me. "Hey Zeke," I softly said. I tried to stay calm, because dogs are like horses. They can sense our fears and anxieties. If I panic or make any sudden moves toward Zeke, then he will surely run away from me!! "Hey buddy", I softly said, "Let's go home, alright? Come on, let's go home...." And Zeke trustingly followed me!! I did not even grab hold of his collar. I watched him closely and he listened to me!! "Good boy...." I softly said, "You're such a good boy...." I knocked on our next door neighbors' door. No response. I knocked again, this time even harder, even louder. Again, no response. I looked around. J's car was gone. "Crap, now what do I do?" I asked myself. I started to walk toward C's house next door. She was home, she is close friends with J's family, she could help me!! But I stopped short. "There's nothin' I can do," said. I hate quitting and I do not easily give up. I stepped back inside. Yes, I abandoned a still loose Zeke!! But only momentarily!! Because then Mom and Dad both suggested that put Zeke in his secure backyard. "I'll go get Rosey's leash and hook him up to it!!" I said. And that was exactly what I did. Thankfully, Zeke had not wandered far when I found him again!! "Hey buddy...." I softly said, "I'm gonna hook you up with this.... You're a good boy.... You're such a good boy...." {Zeke never goes on walks, so I had this comical--and frightening--image in my crazy head of him darting from Rosey's red leash, from me. But he didn't!!} I lead Zeke to his backyard gate--which was partially open--and I softly said.... "Good boy.... You're such a good boy...." I did not pet Zeke. I just quickly unleashed him, locked the gate, and left!! I did not bring along any of Rosey's heart-shaped peanut butter dog treats. Which, I think he wished I had.... Because the last time I said "good boy", Zeke looked at me and licked his lips!! True story!! ;)

  3. Whoa. I hope the spot stays small and that all the other tests yield results that will point you guys in the right direction.

    1. My nickname for ENTs is "mouth doctors" because the mouth is the connection between the ears, nose, and throat.
