Maisie Writes 5.0

Greetings friends! I'm back, and writing in first person because I'm learning how to, it's quite interesting I must say. Anyways Jack,Max, the rest of The Fellowship and most of the Dragon Age fandom are in FenHawke hell so here's, this. I don't know how to classify it, so I'm calling it This.

Hawke Manor: 12:30 AM

Hawke practically drags me up the stairs, kicks open the door and throws me on the bed. I glare at him "fasta vas Hawke what was that for?!" I say sitting up. He shrugs, bastard. The two of us then hear a little noise, coming for I've by the fire, maybe it's just Maisie, Hawkes Mabari. He kicks off his shoes and tip toes over to the fireplace, looking over one of the velvet lines chairs. He then looks back at me and whisper to come over. I stand up and tip toe over next to him, and peak over the chair. I was at least partially right. Yes Maisie is there, but that's not what made the noise. Alarian's curled up on the floor and using the Mabari as a pillow. Garret and I watch them for a few minutes, their breath is barly audible, and their hair glimmers gold in the dying firelight. They look smaller like this, but older, and yet, somehow younger. "What should we do Fenris?" Hawke whispers to me. "I'll take them to the guest room, their light I can pick them up." He nods "how'd they get in here? The door was locked." Garret asks softly. I shrug and walk over to them "Magic has used other then just destroying things." I reply picking up Ali in my arms, they drop something. Hawke leans down and picks it up, it's a little animal. A small pink bunny, with worn fur and long floppy ears. Hawke then gently moves Ali's arm and places the rabbit down, then places the arm back across their chest. I step past the Mabari and walk out the bedroom door "I'll be back in a minute." I whisper as I pass. The Hawke household is a fairly simple layout. At least the second floor. At the far end of the left side of the hall is Garret and my Bedroom, then opposite is Carvers, and next to his, is Carvers older twin sister Bethany's room. Then if you go down further towards the stairs there is a washroom, servents quarters, and a closet. And if you head down the hallway straight away from the stairs there are two or three guest rooms, I think one is a closet though, there not used much. I walk down that hallway to the end, and look out the window quickly over Hightown, you can see LowTown and the docks father away and are a bit fuzzy, but brightly lit. Darktown, where Anders has his clinic, and the other mages and The Poor who are too sick to live in LowTown go. I shove open a wooden door to the room, this is where Ali usually stays when their with us, usually if Zevran is away and Leliana is working with the Inquisition. Wynne could take care of them, but she's older and though she has plenty of energy, it usually takes more than one person to supervise them. I tread carefully, as not to trip over anything and place them down in the bed, they curl up on their side clutching the pillow with one arm, and the other hanging losely by their side. The put the worn rabbit down next to them and guide Alarian's hand to it. They grab it and clutch it to them. I pull the covers up over them and tuck them in "goodnight Alarian." I say softly, and then head towards the door, stepping into the hall and taking one last look behind me before closing the door. I walk quickly back down to my room and enter to find Hawke sitting on the bed, shirtless. Well, uh, okay. He's resting his chin in his hand and staring at me "Umm, hello." I say closing the door behind me. The pats his hand on the bed as to say "come here." I walk over and sit down "where were we?" He asks smirking at me. I sigh "well, we were at the part where you'd just dragged me by my shirt up oh I don't know, 27 stairs or something like that? And then pushed me on the bed with a devilish smile." I say crossing my arms with faux annoyance. "Oh yes, that part. Well I do believe you'll like what comes next then." He says and tackles me, pinning me to the bed "oh so that's what we're doing? Okay, but I'm on top!" I say pushing against his hands on my wrists as we grapple for control. We must have spent at least half an hour just practically fighting for whose on top, it was a bit funny though. I won :) mostly just because Garret eventually got tired enough to stop fighting and I was on top of him. So he just wrapped his arms around me and leaned back, pulling me down on top of him. "You left your shirt over there Hawke." I say tracing the scars on his chest "I know, do you really care Fen? Go to sleep." He says and pulls the blankets around us, and turns off the light.

Hawke Manor : 9:00 AM

The sun streams through the window, dimmed by the curtains. Though they muffle the noise from the street you can still hear it. Merchants yelling their wares, ladies going for morning strolls, wealthy landowners inspecting their, and others property's seeing whose is better. I open my eyes and try to move my legs, they fell asleep so it's a bit hard to move when your lower half is numb and tingly. I flop over onto my back with a slight bounce of the mattress. Hawke opens his eyes sleepily "hmm?" He groans and yawns. "We should get up, it's around 9. " I say in reply. He nods and sits up stretching. I throw back the covers then walk over to the dresser taking out my cloths. After the two of us had gotten dressed, we go downstairs to find The Mabari, the Twins, and our little Warden friend seated at breakfast. Bethany is seated at the end with Carver to her left and Alarian to her right, and seems to be talking about something with Ali who looks to be intently listening. Carver is ignoring them both concentrating on eating his breakfast and reading a book. We retrieve our food from the kitchen and Garret goes and sits next to his brother while I sit next to Ali who greets me with an excited wave and then goes on to tell me all about their recent adventures. "We even went to Tevinter and got my castle back from those big mean Qunari. And we passed through Trevis and Minrathous too. But the capital wasn't very nice, there was a lot of elvish slaves and it made me sad I couldn't do anything about it." Ali says which stands out amongst a stream of words. I sort of zone out for a minute my mind churns with memories, sights, sounds, smells, all of it washes over like a tidal wave. Then I come back again Alis waving their hand in front of my eyes and poking me "Fenris? Hello? Earth to Fenris can you hear me?? Hello!" I blink rapidly "what?" I ask disoriented to what's around me "you had a flashback and zoned out. You wanna talk about it? We can go outside, or to the library." Alarian says with some concern. "Uh, sure. Let's go outside, we can go for a walk." I reply and look at Hawke who nods, Bethany and Carver had already gone out, and Hawke has to go pick up some potions from Anders and go meet with Varric. We clean up the remains of our meal and then head out the door into the sunshine, it's a nice day, if a bit windy. "So what happened?" Ali asks as we walk along the cobblestones streets of Kirkwall. I shove my hands in my pockets and kick some of the lose pebbles "well, when you mentioned Minrathous that's when it started. I'm originally from there, and that's where my old master lived. You didn't run into him did you?" I say looking at my feet. Alarian shakes their head "No. We only passed through very quickly, and Dorian and Bull came with us so Dorian got us through quickly." I nod "that's good. So what happened was, when ever I have flashbacks there of my life before the lyrium. Or during the lyrium process as this one was. By god the stench was terrible." I say with a shudder. Ali nods in understanding "Like with my numbers, but worse. Or sometimes, in the circle someone would do an experiment with an animal or something and it'd blow up and it was pretty gross." I give them a look "did you ever do that?" I ask questioningly. They shrug "Not directly no. All I did was go get Jowan the fire salts he asked for, because I had my harrowing already and could go to the store room whenever I liked. He blew up a frog that somehow got into the courtyard, pretty sure from the basement. He got in a little trouble but not a ton...when we found he knew blood magic that was a different story. Blood magics weird I don't understand the Appel of it." I laugh "well, that's at least good. Where do you want to go?" I ask as we get to the HighTown gate. "Ummmmmm The Hanged Man I guess? I'll play you and Varric in cards, or we could go annoy Aveline. Or see Isabela and Merril, Anders and Hawke are busy, So cards?" Ali asks and pushes the door open as we go into LowTown.

The Hanged Man: 4:30
We ate lunch discussed more about the flashbacks abs nightmares that each of us get. It's sad to think that someone as young as them has endured so much. Or well, technically young, if you don't count past incarnations. The two of us then walk into The Hanged Man, Kirkwalls main tavern. Varric and Hawke greet us, the two are sitting at a table towards the corner of the tavern and seemed to have been talking "Hey Broody, Hi Tiny. How ya been?" Varric greets us "I'm not broody." I say to Varric, he writes in his notebook murmuring "he says as broodily as possible." Ali sits down next to him "good, we went and got my castle back, and then we went to see The Inquisiton and Krem, Josie, Sera and I had a tea party in the Wartable room! Only then Cullen and Blackwall came in and made us leave." Garret looks at them "you mean Cullen Rutherford? The Templar who worked here for a while? Didn't he slap you in the face?" Alarian nods "uh huh, he also used to work in the Fereldan circle, but then after it got taken over by abominations and I freed him he transferred. Apparently he liked me or something because when he was stuck in the blood mages cell he thought I was a demon and then was like 'how deep did they go into my thoughts to find you, even though it'd never work!' And I was like 'Cullen it's actually me.' And then he was like 'wait what?' And then I was like 'you regret saying that now don't you.' Then he told me to shut up and called me some not very nice things. And then he got mad at me because I agreed with Anders so he slapped me then I beat the crap out of him because he deserved it." Meanwhile Varric is listening intently and writing little notes from time to time "well that's not good but with make for an excellent essay." He eventually says. Hawke turns to me "did you two already eat?" I shake my head no. "Well, we're here. You want to wait a little, find the rest of our rabble and go get dinner?" Hawke asks our other companions who then stop their conversation and agree. We then pass the time by playing a game of wicked grace, which Hawke ends up winning by a considerable amount. Eventually the rest of our friends then trickle in to the tavern and we eat dinner together and chat for quite a while, it's nearly 1:00 by the time we leave, and most of our friends are either too drunk or too awake to want to go home yet. Ali fell asleep on Isabela's lap and Hawke picks them up draping them over his shoulder and carries them back home. If the next three weeks will be anything like today, then we should probably get to sleep earlier, because this was exhausting, I think as I fall asleep.

This has been Maisie writes.

What should I write next? Comment!

    1. Omg that sounds amazing, and will most likely be incredibly amusing.

    2. Scenario: Anna and Farkas invited Alarian into their home. (You decide the reason.) They are watching TV and flip channels until they land on the Minecraft news channel when Caitlin appears on a broadcast regarding Minecraft's fine arts programs. She looks nervous, but delivers her answers well. The live Twitter feed shows an onslaught of criticisms ranging from telling her that she represents the disability community incorrectly and should be "stronger" to telling her that her pedagogy methods are bad. (These people have never had her as a teacher.) Alex sings 2.75 as a showcase of Caitlin's pedagogy talents. Mark, Landon, Andras, and Steve come bursting through the door. You decide what happens from there.
