A/N: Another Velothi!! ...Another Velothi ๐ _๐ ...Another Velothi ;-; (If you think my boi Valan is a chaotic idiot you should have seen his dad RIP Ben Velothi the man the myth the bane of Eno Hlaalus existence {affectionate} sorry I killed you off dude)
One major reason as to why the Dark Brotherhood and the Morag Tong are at odds is beliefs. Another major reason is legality but that is an issue for another time and another place. I did not find out these differences until I was rather unceremoniously tossed into a world of crime and murder…and a sewer system. “Ah, hello Valan, I have been expecting you. My name is Eno Hlaalu, do you know who I am?” An older man dressed in red robes asks me, I see a tanto at his side, and as I look closer realize how many weapons he truly has concealed among his clothes. Shaking my head I answer no, but he does not seem angry with my lack of knowledge. “I am the grandmaster of The Morag Tong. Since you have found our headquarters I assume you know what that is?” In that case he is right, I do know what the Morag Tong is, it’s hard not to if you are at all familiar with the history of Morrowind and its culture. Eno then asks me if I would like to join the organization, I think it over for a moment, and agree, after all I need the money and a place to sleep. Now that my unofficial membership has been established Eno invites me to sit as he makes tea. Placing the teapot and two cups on the small table we sit down and the older fellow pours a cup for each of us. “Are you familiar with how we operate, Valan?” Eno questions as he finishes pouring “You’re assassins and it's technically legal if you follow certain rules.” He makes an affirming noise “Yes, you’ve got that much right. Very strict protocol must be adhered to in order to determine if a contract writ will be accepted, and if it is then the deed must be carried out honorably and the killer is required to turn the writ of execution over to the guards.” He sighs “This is what makes us different from the Dark Brotherhood that occupies the rest of Tamriel, they do not operate with any code of honor. If you act without honor or reveal any of our secrets you will be punished accordingly- do you understand?” Now ever so slightly scared I nod and in return Eno gives a small smile and seems to relax. “Good, now that the formalities are over, remind me, what was your last name?” I tell him, it’s Velothi and he seems to get lost in thought for a moment. “Was your father named Ben Velothi, and was he from Sadrith Mora?” In reply I tell him yes, though he died young and Eno puts a hand on his forehead “Another Velothi…another Velothi…another Velothi.” I hear him murmur to himself a few times, though his tone of voice changes each time, first in awe, then in a flat tone of voice, and last an almost sad sounding whisper. “I’m sure you’ll fit right in, so long as you follow the rules.” Eno finally says, returning to the current situation. I think I’ll like it around here, so long as I don’t find myself kicked out for lack of honor or accidentally revealing a location. Yes, I think it will be just fine…and the old man makes quite a good cup of tea, I’m impressed.
