Privacy Matters (Anna)

Sometimes I think about that line I read in Kodlak's journal one day while poking around, it was both surprising and unsurprising at the same time. After all, it did sum up the rest of the Circles personalities well, particularly the twins. Vilkas sometimes has a bit of a temper, though when it comes out it is over things that are worth getting upset over, and Farkas, as Kodlak said almost word for word, is simply too kind hearted. What he said about Aela and about myself, and if Skjor was even mentioned I do not remember. Should I have been poking around in his diary? Probably not, to be truthful, but I was looking for something in the same drawer that it happened to be in, and it was right there and not bound or locked by anything that would keep me from looking at it, so I did. Overall, fairly unremarkable, to-do lists, some stuff about witches, rambling about the circles various shenanigans that I may or may not have been involved in, grocery lists for Tilma, lore about lycanthropy, you know…usual diary stuff. Am I going to ever tell Kodlak or anyone else in the circle I read his diary? No, of course not, I do some stupid things from time to time but I am not that stupid.

As I wander around the lower floor bored out of my mind a thought occurs to me. I wonder if he’d updated it recently? Looking around I see nobody and so I begin to quietly tiptoe my way toward the room at the very end of the hall, the main door to it is open, though the bedroom door lies behind a corner and out of my field of view. As I continue to lurk about I’m grabbed only a foot or two from the door by the sleeve of my dress “You’re looking suspicious, what are you up to?” Aela questions and I look at her in surprise “Totally not going to look at Kodlaks diary again” I blurt out before instantly regretting it. Perhaps this is the day where the circle, or at least one member of it, finds out my mischievous deeds. Anna Lenox you sometimes are an absolute idiot…oh well, there are worse things that could happen…right?
