We ignore Beyte's weird line in favor of Fyr and his chaotic 4 (and a half because Ayron) kids because no one else has the very disturbing dialogue line.
Prompt: Compulsive Liar
Somehow I managed to not run into many people who lie simply out of habit despite living in the Market District of The Imperial City for most of my life, where shopkeepers are clever and cunning, some willing to do almost anything in order to somehow get their hands on your money…unless it involves direct stealing, they don’t stoop to that level, usually, at least. In fact it wasn’t until I found myself back in Morrowind that I came across my first compulsive liar, somehow I was able to make my way from one end of the country to the other by way of silt strider, boat, and foot, and landed in Sadrith Mora, which in fact had once been my home many years ago when I was a very young child. Sadrith Mora is the only city, and it can barely be called a city, in Telvanni territory, and where the Telvanni Council meets in the shadow of Tel Naga, the tower of Master Neloth, an old and rather arrogant wizard who I somehow managed to become friends with. Over time I did errands for the various council members as their representatives gave me tasks, one of these tasks was to deliver an unreadable coded message to an isolated tower not far from Sadrith Mora called Tel Fyr. The trip to and from that tower was more difficult than it really should be due to the nature of the small islands that dot Azura’s Coast and the hostile creatures native to the area in both water and air and when on the mainland portion soil as well. However, once arriving at the tower things only got stranger, as I encountered a very peculiar group of people, one of whom was infinitely stranger than the rest, and quite delusional.
Stepping into the tower I was greeted by a young dunmer woman, who introduced herself as Beyte Fyr, and then very quickly and not in a very well organized fashion explained the tower, asked if I had “the divine disease”, wanted to plunder the dungeon, and made a very strange comment about her relationship to the owner of the tower, Divayth Fyr. It was clear from her introduction alone that she was quite obviously not mentally well but I was already rather disturbed, however my worries were put to rest at least a little by a voice from upstairs yelling down about take everything she says especially about relationships with a grain of salt, what she told you is not true ask her sisters or me, or Ayron as you now know of him, and damn it Beyte stop being weird before grumbling about how this is why we can’t have nice things…or visitors. I was then given the opportunity to meet the other three girls, all of whom along with Fyr denied what Beyte had said earlier, and after giving Fyr the letter which he promptly read and responded no he would not like to be on the council go give this back to Ayron I was sent on my way. When leaving I overheard Beyte talking to one of her sisters about something regarding me, which I promptly dispeled with the truth of the matter and returned to Sadrith Mora as quickly as possible. Deep down I feel a bit bad for her, really, something is very obviously wrong with her, and she compulsively lies about a variety of things along with her delusions, but mostly she just scares me...
